Chazn Inspiring Us Through Christian Rap Songs

In this episode I interview Christian Hip-Hop artist Chazn as he shares his Christian testimony. He speaks about being raised in the church with both his parents and siblings 

His father became filled with the holy spirit when he was 7 years old and ever since then he used music and faith to direct his steps.

He talks extensively about his family’s non-profit “Elijah's Heart”, and how this sparked a movie called, “Unconditional” starring Michal Ealy that is about this charity and his father's life.

Both his mother and father were professional musicians. His mother played the piano and his father was the first African American to win Sax Alto and Soprano in college.

Like many youths who are raised in the church, Chazn struggled in the faith after moving to the hood with one foot in the church and one foot out the door.

Chazn talks about dealing with tribulations of the flesh early in life at the age of 10 years old.

As a teen his life was threatened and he was constantly tested by those in the streets. He was friends with drug lords and King Pins, but Jesus “kept him through all of that.”

During his time growing up in the hood, he taught himself martial arts through YouTube to protect himself and his family. To date he has 10 black belts in multiple verticals of martial arts.

Chazn tells us, “ever since I was a kid I loved to learn.”  His love for learning was made evident as he not only mastered martial arts, but music producing, and becoming a social media influencer.

Chazn’s testimony and goal is, “to change one’s life” with his Christian rap songs and music.
